The EOD Helmet Camcorder has been integrated into the visor of Med-Eng EOD 9 / 9A Helmet to provide consistent and reliable High Definition (HD) video for use as evidence, conducting forensic investigations and reviewing training exercises and live operations.

The primary advantage of the Camcorder is that it has been set to the correct vertical viewing angle so that it focuses on the task at hand. This would be very difficult to consistently achieve by simply attaching a camera to the suit or helmet using Velcro® or duct tape. It also has a 135 degree field of view to give a wide perspective. It is available for both the standard EOD visor and the optional BA (Breathing Apparatus) visor.

The Camcorder has a one-touch button for control by the EOD/IEDD technician or a support person at the Command Post. The HD video can be quickly and easily downloaded to a Windows or Mac computer using a USB cable.
