EOD 9 Suit & Helmet

The EOD® 9 bomb suit and helmet ensemble has been designed with direct input from bomb disposal technicians to provide the highest degree of modular protection and operational flexibility for EOD and CBRN missions. The Med-Eng EOD 9 platform can be configured in the field by EOD or IEDD technicians based on the suspected presence of a CBRN agent in an IED.

The EOD Helmet Camcorder has been integrated into the visor of Med-Eng EOD 9 / 9A Helmet to provide consistent and reliable High Definition (HD) video for use as evidence, conducting forensic investigations and reviewing training exercises and live operations.

EOD Helmet Live Video

EOD Helmet  Live Video gives Commanders and members of the support team the ability to see and hear what’s happening downrange in real time.  This significantly improves their situational awareness, ability to support the technician and allows the communications to focus on Render Safe Procedures instead of describing the scene. The system also records video and audio on-board the camera and on a laptop at the Command Post for analysis after the incident, as well as criminal prosecution and training.

TAC 6 Suit

It protects against blast and fragmentation in ‘non-permissive’ environments where it is not possible or practical to wear a full scale, heavy bomb suit.

TAC Visors

Med-Eng’s line of four new Med-Eng® TAC Visors provide full facial protection against fragmentation to front line personnel.

The four visors – TAC BA, TAC 550, TAC 450 and TAC 250 – are named for their protective capabilities. The TAC 550 offers fragmentation protection of up to 550 m/s, while the TAC 450 offers 450 m/s and both the TAC 250 and TAC BA offer 250 m/s. The TAC BA Visor is designed to be worn with a Breathing Apparatus.
